We had a wonderful experience at the rural barn conversions with a private lake. The property was modern, spotless, and had everything we needed, including a perfect kitchen. Getting ready for my wedding in the morning was a pleasure in such a peaceful and quiet environment. The view of the sunrise over the lake while enjoying a coffee was fantastic. The owners even left a bottle of Prosecco and chocolate for us to celebrate our wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Thank you so much!

We had a fantastic romantic escape at this barn conversion. The setting was stunning, with beautiful land and a private lake. The Bull Pen was the perfect size for us, decorated beautifully and spotlessly clean. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was a pleasure getting ready for our special day here. The peaceful and quiet atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for, and we loved watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee over the lake. We were also pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of Prosecco and chocolates waiting for us upon arrival, which added a lovely touch to our celebration.

There were a few minor downsides to our stay. the bathroom shelf got in the way a bit and the sink wasn't wide enough, resulting in toothpaste on the floor.

The location of the barn conversions was perfect, surrounded by beautiful land and stunning buildings. I stayed in the Bull Pen with my two friends and it was just the right size for us. The decor was lovely and all the amenities we needed were provided. The cleanliness of the property was impressive as well, everything was so tidy! Although our barn didn't have a hot tub, we definitely plan on renting a different property with one next time for some extra relaxation. Our stay at Hastings Retreat was absolutely wonderful! The accommodation was lovely and the underfloor heating made it cozy and inviting. The private lake was a beautiful addition to the property and we enjoyed peaceful walks in the local area. Being close to Ashby-De-La-Zouch was definitely a bonus.

One thing that could have been better was the condition of the kitchen knives. They were a bit dull which made cooking a bit challenging, but considering they are used by many people, I understand the difficulty in maintaining them.

The accommodation was well-equipped with fully stocked bathrooms and a kitchen kitted out with everything we needed. The rooms were spacious and the underfloor heating was a nice touch.
